APC End of Life (EOL) Products

APC (a brand of Schneider Electric) maintains a formal End of Life (EOL) policy for its Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, racks, and software. When a product reaches EOL, it is typically no longer marketed or sold by the manufacturer, and it eventually moves to End of Service Life (EOSL), where technical support and parts become unavailable.
Recent & Significant EOL Announcements
Several major product lines have recently entered or are approaching their final support phases.
Symmetra Single-Phase Line
The Symmetra LX and Symmetra RM series reached EOL on December 31, 2024. The official successor is the Smart-UPS Modular Ultra, which features long-lasting Lithium-ion batteries.
Smart-UPS SMT Series
Older base models like the SMT750, SMT1000, and SMT2200 are being phased out in favor of newer "C" versions (e.g., SMT1500C) that include SmartConnect cloud monitoring.
Network Management Cards
The NMC 2 (e.g., AP9631) reached EOL on October 31, 2022. Support for embedded versions typically lasts until the host hardware's warranty expires.
Cooling Systems
Specific InRow units, including the ACSC100, ACSC101, and ACRC100/101/103, have been discontinued and require immediate replacement as they are no longer eligible for factory service plans.
